To update all of our supporters... Routt County Planning staff has sent us a letter, stating that we are in direct violation of county regulations. They have informed us that during their site visit, they had discovered "occupancy of a structure in a way that exceeds the definition of camping" as well as "illegal storage of a motor vehicle, which in not permitted in the AF zone district". The Planning Department has also explained that they have "no discretion in this matter if [we] fail to correct the identified violation". If we "fail to correct the violation, [their] office may schedule the matter before the Board of County Commissioners to request authorization for the County Attorney's office to commence legal action against [us]." We have created a very strong response and final notice to the Planning Department regarding this non-issue in hopes that the intimidation and harassment stops!
