We are working on demanding transparency from UMKC regarding ICE and student safety. Many surrounding universities have already released statements and protocols to their staff and students, so why hasn't UMKC? 

In 2026 alone, ICE has already murdered countless innocent people, citizens and non-citizens. You may have heard the names Alex Pretti and Renee Good. They were innocent people killed at the hands of ICE, and there are many more victims that have been killed or torn apart from their families without due justice. 

As students, we hold power. While we may not be able to abolish ICE, we can urge our university to stand against them instead of complying in advance.
