There is a proposed RV Park and Marina to be located on King Creek on Watts Bar Lake.  There have been no public forums to hear residents opinions on the proposal, the document states that back in March/April of 2020 (during the COVID pandemic!!) that TVA states they sought out opinions.  It is unclear how those opinions were attained as no residents who live on King Creek were aware of it until this past week (1 year later).  TVA states they had a whopping 10 responses back in 2020, all reportedly positive.  So many factors will be impacted by this development not least of which are the bald eagles that use the creek for fishing, the increased risk of accidents from an additional 212 boats in a small area (next to Tom Fuller public boat launch ) where there is no enforcement of speed or boat safety.  The depression of property values of all the homes in that area that will now lose their views of green space as well as the noise and light pollution from 150 RV sites.  The land being used was given to City of Rockwood for PUBLIC usage back in 1951 and now will be given to a developer to use for profit.  We are just asking for the TVA/Rockwood City Council to postpone any plans and offer us a public forum to express our opinions.
