The traffic light phasing at the Romsey Road / Tebourba Way junction was changed in January, resulting in significant congestion for residents.

Thank you to the 516 people who have so far signed my petition calling for a rethink.

I raised this with the Leader of the Council and on 5th February he promised a review after 2 weeks.

I chased this on 19th February and again on 12th March.

I have had no response, and so I have tabled a question to the Leader of the Council at the Full Council Meeting which is on 25th March.

Hopefully this will lead to an answer.

Question to the Leader of the Council.

On 5th February, you confirmed that changes to the traffic light phasing at the Romsey Road and Tebourba Way junction would be monitored for two weeks, after which a structured review would be undertaken. You further stated that, if no meaningful improvement was identified, Option 2 contained within the Balfour Beatty feasibility work, or a reversion to the previous phasing, would be brought forward for serious consideration. That two‑week period has now passed by several weeks, yet no structured review or decision has been presented to Members.

Can you confirm if you are now in a position to make a decision and what that decision is?
