Hello my eco-conscious friends,

Thank you so much for signing this petition and helping to make Rome, GA a greener, cleaner place! I am thrilled to say that this petition has garnered 250 supporters, thus far. Most of the support has come from people sharing with their friends and family, which I believe is the most organic way to start a movement. I am now asking that those of you who feel comfortable doing so please share the petition on Facebook or email it to other concerned Romans. I have also attached an insightful TED Talk that highlights the problems of straws and other forms of plastic pollution. You may find the video helpful when explaining why straws are an issue. Though the global problem seems daunting, I believe that we can beat this plastic problem one step at a time!
