We are in 2024. For a long time the adopted female character Anna Marie aka "Rogue" in Xmen has been targeted by white male writers with ill intent. 

Chris Claremont had her sexually assaulted by a gang of men like a tortured animal in Xmen Inferno. No purpose and her mothers were never told. This was such a mishandled storyline done on a whim like it was nothing. 

Claremont and Jim Lee had a half naked Rogue objectified and become a mere sex object in the Savage Lands, whereupon her virginity was taken by a man who had a baby daughter when Rogue was a baby. A woman who had been exploited by her adopted mother was now passed over to a much older man to be exploited. 

Simon Spurrier and Kieron Gillen retconned her adoption to service her brother so now her purpose for adoption was "saved from pimps age four".

Hickman cut Rogue out of Krakoa era and her reunion with her mother Destiny, choosinh instead to focus on her brother who got his own poster with Destiny and Mystique. The second poster in which she was isolated from her family (Destiny and Mystique's wedding too). 

Rogue has had her desires to have children removed by writers and her wedding was not a traditional big wedding deserving of an Xmen couple but rather served lazily off the back of another character. We didn't get to celebrate this couple Rogue and Gambit in the way we should have. 

Beau DeMayo made Rogue a hated character in Xmen 97 by having her cheat and betray the one person who loved her for the pleasure of a man old enough to be her grandfather. A hated storyline by fans. 

Now in 2025, ANOTHER man named Tim Seeley known for his obsecene writing excitedly promised Rogue "in a tattered bikini" again for a reboot of the Savage Lands. Where she will once again be objectified and sexually exploited to pleasure an older man. 

Rogue is a hero who represents adopted children. Children also love Rogue and approach her voice actor in costume for photos. 

It is so wrong that she gets treated worse than the other female mains in Xmen. 

Rogue is sexually exploited and objectfied the most and also heavily stereotyped as a scantily clad white female redneck. 

When female writers like Gail Simone build Rogue up and make her clever and respected once again, a man with ill intentions always comes along to tear her down and undermine her. 

Rogue is the only female character whose long awaited solo is a reboot of an old comic, a very exploitative old comic too that most hate. Every other main female received and original solo and were respected. 

Enough is enough. 

Chief Editor Tom Brevoort shame on you. Shame on every man I have mentioned above for failing Rogue. 

Change is needed and very clearly, more diversity in the Xmen Office is needed. Pale, male and stale no longer cuts it because you are taking advantage of this female character. 

No more fetish writing and no more exploitation.
