Dear friends, With just four days left to go until the Super Bowl, yet another cheerleader is suing her team for unfair wages. The time to act is now. Click here to tweet at NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and ask him to make a public statement on cheerleader wages: http://bit.ly/1Eq6ldT Susie Sanchez, a former cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders, filed suit yesterday, claiming she and her teammates were denied a minimum wage and overtime pay. She says the squad was forced to endure “grueling” training sessions in “deplorable” conditions without compensation. Ms. Sanchez made $1250 per season, a shamefully low wage that’s common across the league, for what amounts to hundreds of hours of practice, performances, and appearances. All eyes are on the NFL right now. If enough of us tweet at Commissioner Goodell, the media will demand he answer for the deplorable treatment of these talented young women. Please take a moment to ask Roger Goodell to take a public stand on cheerleader pay: http://bit.ly/1Eq6ldT I’m hopeful that if enough of us take action at this crucial moment, NFL cheerleaders will start next season making a fair wage for their hard work. Thank you for your continued support, Diane Todd P.S. Not on Twitter? Want to do more? Share this image on Facebook to spread the word about the cheerleader’s fight: http://on.fb.me/1EpApWZ
