As is well known West Ham United Football club are relocating from the Boleyn Ground in Upton Park to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford. There have been many discussions on this subject, some embrace the move and others are less convinced. However, at the heart of every football club it's the supporters that make the club and not the other way round, without supporters there would be no club.

I am appealing for your signature on this petition to save our West Ham United Supporters Club which is in jeopardy of being lost forever. This Club is more than a pre and post hostelry for the supporters of the club, it is a hub of the community providing many activities for for the local people, in particular OAPs. This club has been providing this service for the best part of almost 50 years and serves over 1600 members. The club is leased from the London Borough of Newham and have requested many times for Newham to help to relocate to Stratford, however this appears to be falling on deaf ears, despite some comforting words and false hope from Robin Wales, our mayor. Robin has been very influential in expediting the football clubs move into the Olympic Stadium, to the point of allegedly providing a loan of circa £40M, although I have no visibility of confirmed finances. He now needs to switch his efforts into relocating the supporters club.

This is a Win - Win situation, the supporters support the club financially on match days allowing the club to provide services to the local community throughout the rest of the year.

We need help from the Mayor of Newham and West Ham United to secure this move
