This petition was about parents coming together to advocate for students with special needs in BC schools. Thank you to everyone who has helped us amplify our message.

This petition is just one component of our parent movement. We are also collecting the data on how and where our students are excluded in BC Schools. We launched and exclusion tracker in September: http://bit.ly/bcedaccess

Here is the initial report:

https://equitableaccesstoeducation.wordpress.com/2018/10/22/tracking-exclusion-interim-report/

I have accompanied 2 different parents groups to Victoria to meet with the Hon. Rob Fleming (Oct. 22nd and Oct. 29th). We are taking the truth of our reality to Victoria through our stories and the data. We are actively pursuing change.

I will finish this update by letting you know that I presented to this year's Select Standing Committee on Budget and Government Services on October 11th. They were very impressed by the amount of support that our petition generated.

Again, I thank everyone for the support and continuous shares. Please know that our work continues.
