Our new Supervisor Manuel Perez is coming up tonight at the Town Hall from 5-7pm to hear us out on how we feel about the current and potential future policies regarding STR's in our community. In addition, there has been some discussion among the supervisors to ease the restrictions on the current county noise ordinance. This could adversely impact all of our efforts to date to keep our neighborhoods peaceful and quiet!

In the past these sessions with our Supervisors have been extremely impactful and are A BIG PART OF THE REASON WE HAVE AN EXISTING 12 MONTH STR MORATORIUM IN PLACE (SET TO EXPIRE IN 10/23) AND UPDATED STR GUIDELINES  REQUIRING GREATER ACCOUNTABILITY.

PLEASE ATTEND IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. WE UNDERSTAND THE PRO STR FOLK WILL BE THERE IN FORCE...SOME EVEN FROM OFF THE HILL!

If you do attend and comment, please tell Perez and his staff of your STR experiences and the importance of your peace and safety in your residential area.  Parties, trespassing, road and driveway blocking, fire and evacuation concerns and more recently, unfortunately, violence.   

In the last STR county meeting at Townhall, we had a great turnout.  And when asked what our community would like to achieve, we voted for reductions of STRs in our residential neighborhoods.  #1 was a 10% cap on the number of total STR's allowed in Idyllwild/Pine Cove.  #2 Restrictions by zone/area.  #3 Density limits to restrict over saturation in any particular neighborhood..  

THESE ARE STILL CRITICAL POLICIES WE ARE FIGHTING FOR. WE CANNOT DO IT ALONE SO PLEASE DO ATTEND. YOUR PRESENCE MATTERS GREATLY.
