Petioners, yesterday the RivCo Board of Supervisors passed the 927.1 STR Ordinance and is now set to vote next TUESDAY THE 25TH on whether to extend the existing 45 day moratorium on new short-term rental permits in the Idyllwild area from the end of October (which is when it is set to expire) through August 2023. Thus we need one more round of emails to all the supervisors to encourage them to vote YES on extending it. 

This is an outstanding opportunity to get our STR problems under control and further increase STR accountability. As one local resident put it yesterday at the Supervisors meeting:

 "We maxed out on short-term rentals probably two years ago. People deserve peace and quiet."
