Dear Supporters of Water Public Access,

It has been a long year of waiting---we spent our time testifying at several public meetings and lobbied our local politicians.  The last permit needed was finally granted this past fall and construction of the dock is now complete!  Thanks to the women and men engineers and workers who made it possible!! A holiday miracle. 

Now all we need is for Columbia and the NYC Parks Dept to remove the fences and actually make it possible for the public to access.  It has been 15 months since the public dock was shut down and it is time for the Parks Dept and Columbia to make good on their obligation to the public.  We will keep you posted and in the meantime, happy holidays to the more than 200 supporters of this petition.
