RISD wants to give seniors option C, where students are allowed to walk the stage with 4 family members during an allotted time slot and take a picture. Frankly, we don’t believe this option was the majority amongst the students. Option A would allow students a close to normal graduation where students get to walk the stage with their peers, while family members watch a live video. The possibility of having a normal graduation at a later date was also taken away from us without a vote. Not having a say in this and having so many things taken away from us is saddening. While we sympathize with everyone affected by COVID-19, other districts are offering a graduation ceremony similar to option A. Sign this petition if you voted for and want option A!
