Rick’s act: get a statue of Rick Moranis in Times Square

The Issue

I am a member of the community theater and was performing in Little Shop Of Horrors when I learned about the tragic incident involving Rick Moranis. He was assaulted in New York which caused the onset of the Israeli Palestine war last year, simply because he was Jewish. The assault resulted in injuries that eventually led to his untimely demise. This news deeply saddened me and many others who admired him.

Rick Moranis, known for his role as Seymour in 'Little Shop of Horrors', has left an indelible mark on our hearts with his performances. His unfortunate death is not only a loss to the entertainment industry but also a stark reminder of hate crimes that persist even today.

I propose that we commemorate Rick's life and contributions by erecting a bench with his statue as Seymour in Times Square, New York City. This initiative requires support from Nippon Steel Corporation, which can provide resources necessary for this project.

This gesture will not only honor Rick's memory but also serve as a symbol against hate crimes worldwide. It would be particularly poignant if descendants of victims or perpetrators of such violence could join us in this cause - including those related to infamous figures like Hitler - demonstrating unity against prejudice and hatred.

Let us come together to remember Rick Moranis through this memorial bench while taking a stand against hate crimes globally. Please sign this petition and help make it happen.
