Oppose to construction of 10 Storey Building Richmond Hill City Files:D01-21001 &D02-21002

The Issue

As residents of Richmond Hill (North East corner of Bayview Road and Major McKenzie Road), we are opposing to the development of 1070 Major Mackenzie Drive East First Baymac Development Limited and Canadian Property Holdings (Ontario) Inc City Files: D01-21001 and D02-21002 to construction a 10 storey retirement residence. 

The existing plaza offer important amenities for the local neighborhood, removal of such business would be detrimental to support local businesses and community during the Covid 19. 

With the development of condominium along Yonge Street, there is sufficient development in that area to support the upcoming growth in the local Richmond Hill community. In addition, the project will promote further congestion and undesirable traffic in an already high traffic zone with increase noise pollution to the local area.

The existing intersection consist of 3 Gas stations thus providing inadequate  environment to facilitate a senior care centre.
