Allow  Rhode Island residents to have 35% tint on the front driver and passenger windows of all vehicles.

WE ALL PAY TAXES IN THIS STATE.
car registration fees, house taxes, car taxes, sales taxes,  etc etc etc the least we could have the choice to do is apply sunscreen film to our vehicles legally.

Our neighboring state of Massachusetts allows residents to have 35% tint on all windows of vehicles excluding the windshield.
Rhode Island residents are allowed 0% on cars.
SUV’s are allowed to have the rear windows done to any tint level with no front windows allowed.

Tint is harmless and all we ask for is to be able to protect our children, eyes, skin, and cars from harmful uv rays. 35% is factory level on the back windows of most vehicles. And is easily able to be seen through to identify drivers and passengers in a motor vehicle.

Window tinting refers to the process of applying a thin laminate film to a vehicle's glass in order to darken it. The reasons people choose to tint the windows of an automobile vary. These might include privacy or security; protection from UV rays including UVA, the ones responsible for causing skin cancer; and reducing solar gain (interior heat) and thus incrementally improving fuel economy; and cutting down on glare from the sun.
