As residents of Washington State, we are deeply concerned about the recent rise in crime rates. Despite the implementation of a semi-automatic gun ban, criminal activity has not ceased but rather increased. This situation is a stark reminder that banning guns does not eradicate crime; it merely leaves law-abiding citizens more vulnerable.

The second amendment to our constitution was designed to protect our right to bear arms. It is disheartening that we are living through times when this fundamental right is being disregarded and misunderstood. The current semi-automatic gun ban in Washington State is an affront to this constitutional provision.

It's worth noting that according to data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), states with stricter gun laws do not necessarily experience lower crime rates. In fact, some states with less restrictive firearm regulations have been found to have lower violent crime rates.

We urge lawmakers in Washington State to reconsider their stance on this issue and revoke the semi-automatic gun ban. We believe that responsible citizens should be allowed their constitutional right to self-defense without undue restrictions.
