Thank you to everyone who has contributed to, signed, and shared the petition. We are gaining momentum!

We are updating it again, as Denise Annemaire 'Afua' Rose has recently engaged in behavior that was previously unknown at the time of this petition.

On August 28, 2022, Afua attended 'Britain's Got Reggae' and made a post on her Instagram. She expressed gratitude to Cyrlene, the organiser, and her longtime friend, the legendary MC 5-0. You can view the post here: https://www.instagram.com/p/Chy_UvwonSu/?hl=en

Subsequently, on September 8, 2022, Denise revealed the identity of an alleged rape victim, sharing both her name and image. She also taunted the woman and made accusations of racism. This behavior is unacceptable and goes against the commitment of the Crown Prosecution Service to protect the anonymity of rape victims throughout the legal process, even if the defendant is found not guilty.

We will refrain from sharing the link to this image and express our solidarity with the alleged victim. We have also reported this matter to the police.

On September 9, 2022, Afua posted a picture of her friend, MC 5-0, stating that he had been 'wrongly' accused of rape and was innocent. Another woman came forward on the same post, alleging that MC 5-0 had raped her. On the same date, Afua conducted a live stream interview with MC 5-0. During this livestream, she expressed disappointment and used sexist terminology. Some viewers found his language oppressive, and moderators dismissed these concerns.

On September 12, 2022, Afua announced a 'Special' members-only live session with MC 5-0 to allow members (of which there are only seven) to ask him questions. On September 13, 2022, during this private session, Afua and MC 5-0 used sexist slurs to describe the victim. This behavior is disturbing and distasteful, especially coming from an advocate for women. As of January 2024, this live session remains available in her members' lounge. Cyrlene Braithwaite is a paid member of Afua Speaks Community Conversations, and her membership icon can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMWJvjqvbhtbN38bX6cPYDg

Furthermore, on October 20, 2022, in a car video, Denise claimed to have spoken to a second woman who came forward and suggested that she would give her verdict based on the evidence 'she had seen' regarding the truth of the woman's claims.

On October 21, 2022, Afua did not address the woman's allegation of rape in relation to MC 5-0 during a livestream on YouTube. Besides these two allegations, there is an uncorroborated allegation that can be seen here: https://www.dogsonacid.com/threads/five-o-the-rapist.585236/page-2

What ever happened to the power of Three? Three unconnected women all naming the same person? The ONLY difference here is that the victim in question was white.

On November 1, 2022, Denise Annmarie Rose was awarded a 'Community Achievement Award' by the Blac Awards, apparently nominated by the community. We seriously question this.

Denise regularly undermines the criminal justice system regarding historical sexual abuse cases and often tells the community that they cannot truly know someone. However, she made eight posts in relation to MC 5-0. We question the reasons behind this.

Well...we have discussed that they are all connected, as both the Blacc Awards and 'Britain's Got Reggae' are registered at the same business address. Their Companies House details can be found here:

Blac Awards: https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/11914509

Britain's Got Reggae: https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/10584412

On Britain's Got Reggae's about page, they reference the BLAC Awards, which can be seen here: https://britainsgotreggae.com/about-us/

It appears that the naming and shaming of a rape victim may have been a PR stunt to improve the image of Denise's friend, MC 5-0, and both Britain's Got Reggae and the Blac Awards may have been involved in this. We are especially concerned about the Blac Awards, which receive funding from Hertfordshire Police and the RAF.

We are fully committed to ensuring transparency and safeguarding members of the public against this vitriol of harassment, malicious allegations, and harmful content. We firmly believe that public funds should not be used for such purposes, and council employees should not engage in such behavior.

Please continue to share this petition. There are more of us than there are of them.
