For the past 20 years, my nan has selflessly dedicated her time, energy, and financial resources to feeding and caring for the stray cats in our neighborhood. She loves these cats as if they were her own, often going above and beyond by providing them with food, ensuring they receive the necessary medical treatments, and even arranging for them to be neutered. Her kind actions have provided these cats with a chance for a healthier life, reducing the number of unwanted litters in the area and maintaining a balance with nature.

Despite her goodwill and unwavering dedication, my nan has been hit with an antisocial behaviour warning for feeding these cats. This accusation was brought forward by a business owner, who shockingly poured bleach over these innocent animals—a horrifying act of cruelty when there should have been no warnings against her compassionate acts.

Revolting against a simple act of kindness by labeling it as 'antisocial behaviour' is not only unjust but inhumane. The antisocial behaviour order penalizes my nan for actions that benefit our community and nurture its forgotten creatures. Many of these cats are helpless and rely entirely on her for survival. Instead of punishing her, we should be applauding her efforts and kindness, which, in essence, uphold the values of compassion and charity.

The community benefits from the control my nan has over the stray cats, preventing a larger issue from developing. Removing this antisocial behaviour order is necessary to restore justice,
safeguard animal welfare, and recognize the commitment and love of individuals like my nan who serve the community selflessly.

I urge the local authorities to reconsider this order against my nan and, instead, collaborate with her to find positive solutions that benefit both the community and the stray cats. By working together, we can find the right balance between fostering a harmonious relationship with these animals and addressing any genuine concerns of the surrounding neighborhood.
