The Issue

A pregnant teenager lost her life in Texas after enduring unimaginable suffering. It took 20 hours and three separate visits to the ER before anyone would admit her for sepsis. This tragic loss isn't just a mishap—it's a direct consequence of the restrictive abortion bans currently enforced in Texas. Women and girls are dying because these laws prioritize ideology over health and common sense.

All the so-called 'forced birthers' do is deflect, saying things like, "That's the hospital's fault," or, "There are exceptions if the mother’s life is in danger." But those arguments ring hollow when lives are actually on the line. We've seen it happen, and this isn't an isolated incident. These laws are not protecting anyone; they're endangering those they're supposed to help.

In Texas, laws like the heartbeat bill have been used to restrict access to necessary health care, leading to delayed medical treatment and tragic outcomes. We cannot stand idly by while our state's policies put more lives at risk. The reality is stark—abortion bans are killing women and girls, and that needs to change.

We call on Texas legislators to revoke these harmful abortion bans immediately. It’s time to prioritize the well-being and safety of women and girls, ensuring they have access to the medical care they need, without unnecessary delays or legal hurdles.

Sign this petition to demand action. We need to protect lives, not endanger them. With your support, we can push for change and challenge these dangerous policies that have left so many vulnerable.
