Pastor Randy Ensey of Living Way church in Conroe, Texas unjustly handled a complaint of sexual misconduct in his church. When a family of a minor came to the pastor with evidence showing the church worship leader Jonathan Ensey, the pastors son, groomed and sexually assaulted their daughter, Pastor Randy Ensey took no substantive action. The family then went to the police which lead to an investigation and conviction of Jonathan Ensey. The way in which Pastor Randy Ensey handled and attempted to cover up this situation should be a violation of his pastoral license and he should not be trusted to lead a church. This petition is a call to action on the United Pentecostal Church International to not only denounce the actions of Jonathan Ensey publicly and by name, but also denounce the actions of Randy Ensey and remove his pastoral license he received under the UPCI. Lack of action taken only further enables abusers in the church, it speaks to victims that their stories don’t matter, and men in power are not held responsible.
