We the people demand that the Miss Universe organization revoke Karlie Hay's title as Miss Teen USA 2016. Karlie Hay has used the deragatory racial slur "Nigger" multiple times on a public platform. This is not representative of what a role model is. She should not be the winner of the Miss Teen USA pageant. The Teen Miss USA title is a position of influence and the organization needs to thoroughly evaluate it's contestants. Young children and teens idolize and learn from people that are put in the public figure. So it is up to the Miss Universe corporation to ensure that they choose a winner who reflects values consistent with the values of the organization. On the Miss Universe Website which is the sponsor of Miss Teen USA, states "These women (referring to contestants) are savvy, goal-oriented and aware. The delegates who become part of the Miss Universe Organization display those characteristics in their everyday lives, both as individuals, who compete with hope of advancing their careers, personal and humanitarian goals, and as women who seek to improve the lives of others."
