To all our supporters:
While Governor Youngkin takes victory laps and photo ops for jobs and billion-dollar investments, I have just one question:
What about the people who are already here?
What about the vulnerable citizens in Virginia’s long-term care facilities who are enduring documented abuse and neglect?
What about the healthcare workers who already have jobs—jobs that place their licenses and ethics on the line every single day because there are still no safe staffing mandates or meaningful admissions reform?
And what about the ongoing Medicare and Medicaid fraud (just to be clear: federal felonies) that continue daily under this administration’s watch while corporations rake in millions—with no oversight and no accountability?
Meanwhile, we get politicians like Delegate Tony Wilt posting warnings about text scams, while completely ignoring the actual scams happening right here in Richmond—by elected officials and corporate lobbyists.
Let’s call it what it is:
“Mouthpieces in suits collecting paychecks to protect predators in scrubs.”
“Professional hand-shakers and photo-oppportunists who can’t find the spine to stand up for the people they swore to protect—but somehow always manage to find the time for lobbyist luncheons.”
Over the past ten weeks, I’ve sent weekly emails detailing the confirmed abuse at Harrisonburg Health and Rehabilitation Center and calling for statewide legislative action—in addition to writing the proposed legislation known as Dale’s Law and creating and updating this petition to raise public awareness.
What I’ve reported isn’t speculation. It’s documented, and it’s horrifying:
Sepsis from ignored catheter care
Residents left in soiled briefs and urine-soaked pads
Medicare/Medicaid billing for care that was never provided
And yet?
Nothing. No answers. No action. Not from the General Assembly. Not from the Governor. Not from Attorney General Jason Miyares—who has apparently decided felony fraud isn’t worth investigating.
Delegate Wilt has had plenty of time to criticize Democrats for “empty promises” and failed energy bills. But when it comes to actual crimes in his own district? Radio silence.
If you’re tired of the same cowardly excuses from people elected to protect us, now is the time to keep the pressure on.
📣 Share the petition. Tag your reps. Call their offices. Demand action.
Because if we don’t fight for our most vulnerable neighbors, who will?
