Revoke Elon Musk's US Citizenship and Deport Him for Immigration Law Abuse

The Issue

I am a firm believer that US law should apply equally to all, no matter one's status or wealth. This conviction runs deep and stems from a personal place. Today, I present a case that demands attention - Elon Musk and an alleged abuse of the US immigration system. In 2005, Musk admitted that he applied to Stanford "because otherwise [he had] no legal right to stay in the country." He knowingly used a student visa to work within the United States, despite the visa provision not allowing him to work.

As a citizen, it appalls me to see such a blatant disregard for the law, especially when one considers the implications. Approximately 4.4 million people are on the legal immigrant visa waiting list according to the Department of State's tally (Source: U.S. Department of State, 2019). These people are patiently and lawfully waiting their turn, while instances of visa abuse mock their obedience to the law.

If the United States is to enforce immigration laws, it must be done regardless of someone's status or how much money they have. In this light, we urge the U.S. government to revoke Elon Musk's citizenship and deport him with the same provisions others get when they break the law.

Demand justice. Demand equality. Sign this petition to show that you stand for a fair application of our immigration laws.
