The Watch Dogs Series is one of Ubisoft’s most underrated video game franchises and it’s an alternative to the cultural phenomenon Grand Theft Auto but with a major focus on Hacking and Stealth. It’s like Call of Duty VS Battlefield if Watch Dogs was really popular and stood a chance against Grand Theft Auto to be a competitor within the Open World Crime Genre. I’m not saying Watch Dogs needs to be more Popular than Grand Theft Auto, I’m saying it’s one of the Best games as an Alternative to Grand Theft Auto within the Genre just like when people are for example are bored of Call of Duty and will play Battlefield instead. Call of Duty is more popular than Battlefield but Battlefield has done things that are very different than Call of Duty and people play what they are in the mood for. Saints Row used to have that rivalry with Grand Theft Auto but it seems like Saints Row might never have that chance to compete with Grand Theft Auto ever again and the most likely to happen is Watch Dogs VS Grand Theft Auto Again. According to sources is that Saints Row is now a Dead Franchise and Watch Dogs is on shelved by Ubisoft pretty much on Ice or a Dormant Franchise which means Ubisoft might return to this franchise again depending on how things go at Ubisoft’s studios pipeline.

The Watch Dogs Movie is still in the Works but everything is absolutely Silent about it currently right now and Actor Tom Blyth is potentially playing Aiden Pearce. Filming apparently had wrapped up a long time ago but eventually reshoots were apparently happening. I don’t know too much what is going on with the Watch Dogs movie, But with them taking their time to make it a decent movie it could spark some potential hype in the Watch Dogs Game Franchise again and maybe potentially get more Watch Dogs Films or perhaps TV Series.

What makes Watch Dogs Special and stand out from other Open World Crime Games like GTA and Saints Row ? Well of Course the Hacking and Stealth Mechanics but also took risks to try different bold moves within the franchise between all 3 games. Watch Dogs 1 in Chicago an American City not covered a lot in Open World Crime Games and GTA has never depicted Chicago. And Watch Dogs 2 a major departure from its predecessor which was a Dark and Gritty Noire like setting but with Watch Dogs 2’s San Francisco Vibrant Colourful Setting it was a bold move from Ubisoft to take that risk and do something very different which most video game franchises don’t usually do and try to copy and paste the same formula from their last game and it feels like your playing the same game. But with Watch Dogs 1 and 2 they are polar opposites of each other and when it comes to the Fanbase you can play what your in the mood for. And last but not least Watch Dogs Legion which was an even bolder move in the Franchise which left the US Behind and went to the UK with London. In Watch Dogs Legion you played as any NPC you can recruit which was really fun since you could have many different play styles with each operative but down side was it didn’t do much well for the story. The Play As Anyone System worked well when it came to Watch Dogs Legion Online though especially with your friends and customizing your operatives and being creative and seeing what your friends have created as well.

Could we get a 4th Watch Dogs Game that’s a maybe if enough awareness and signs go into this petition and maybe if the Watch Dogs Movie does well whenever it releases. I have so many concepts for a next Watch Dogs Game and that is the potential to keep this franchise fresh with bold ideas Ubisoft could do to stand out from Grand Theft Auto and Watch Dogs Legion’s London showed that potential because it was the first Watch Dogs to leave the US Behind and try a different Country. There’s many other countries the Watch Dogs Series could visit and my number one favourite idea is Dubai UAE which is in the Middle East and is one of the most richest cities on the planet and highly surveilled a perfect setting for a Watch Dogs game especially with its Futuristic look and of course seeing the iconic Tallest Tower on the Planet the Burj Khalifa and imagine if we could take the elevator up to certain floors or go to the highest point and jump off with a parachute. Another City that would be amazing to see is Toronto Ontario Canada which could be done super well since Ubisoft Toronto is pretty much right there and know the city really well and could depict a accurate look to Toronto in a Dystopian Near Future setting and also don’t forget about the iconic CN Tower that would be amazing to visit by going to the top as well. Since I am Canadian I would so enjoy a Canadian Watch Dogs Setting Game because it would mark the first time a Open World Crime Game is set in Canada and not the US. In other words people could give it the nick Name of Canadian GTA since Toronto has an area called the GTA which stands for the Greater Toronto Area. Another setting I would love to see is Sydney Australia for a Watch Dogs game and many Australians say not enough games are set in Australia especially a Open World Game so that would make the Aussies really happy and that goes back to me with Canada there’s not enough Open World Games set in Canada. Another setting that would work well for Watch Dogs is Moscow Russia since Russia is known for the most Hackers in the world and that would be a interesting setting too. But if Watch Dogs returned to America I do not want to see New York or Los Angeles or Miami be done since they been done so much in many other Open World Crime Games and just gaming in general but I do know a lot of people say that New York would be a great setting for a Watch Dogs game and they are not wrong. Just imagine blacking out Times Square in Manhattan at night that would be so iconic and if this was a thing I would not complain. But seriously though if we for example got another US Setting I want it to be Cities not covered enough that are underrated like Boston Massachusetts or Dallas Texas or Detroit Michigan or Cleveland Ohio or Seattle which was actually in Infamous Second Son and The Last of Us Part 2. But another city I can think of Atlanta Georgia and that could be an interesting city as well. I could go on and on with many places a Watch Dogs Game could visit.

The most likely for Watch Dogs to return is potentially a Watch Dogs Legion Directors Cut was rumored and was talked about by well known gaming insider Tom Henderson and said allegedly that Ubisoft is doing Mocap work for this alleged Watch Dogs Legion Directors Cut and that was earlier in 2026 when we heard this News and nothing else has been said since then so take it with a grain of salt. There was apparently a lot of cut content for Watch Dogs Legion so a Directors Cut could potentially revive Watch Dogs Legion and make it a better game if it’s real. One of the most ambitious Watch Dogs Legion Cut Content was that there was supposed to be Year 2 Content for the Game and that could’ve happened in 2022 and we could’ve gotten a Map Expansion that left London behind but we would still be in the UK but a very different type of scenery and that is in the Caribbean known as the British Virgin Islands which is very colourful and tropical and hotter setting than the cold and rainy and cloudy London UK. It’s like comparing the difference between Watch Dogs 1’s Chicago and Watch Dogs 2’s San Francisco to each other for example. This British Virgin Islands Map Expansion could’ve been a big story Expansion expanding on the lore and potentially having the map playable in Watch Dogs Legion Online. Matter of Fact Watch Dogs Legion’s British Virgin Islands Map Expansion had a Alpha Gameplay Leak on YouTube and the Potential was there to be very unique for Watch Dogs Legion. It’s just unfortunate that a lot of stuff was cut from the game and it felt like the game was abandoned prematurely.

Please Sign The Petition to spread Awareness to Revive The Watch Dogs Series in the Future and I’m not saying it needs to be rushed for a return in a few years from now. It could be a Decade From now and I will still be fine with that since masterpieces and art take a long time to be made good.
