Revive The Nintendo Wii Manufacturing

The Issue

I have held a deep sentiment towards the Nintendo Wii since my early childhood. At the tender age of 3, I owned a Wii and it instantly became an essential part of my life. However, the discontinuation of the Wii in 2013 has been a disheartening turn for many ardent fans like me. Now, obtaining a Wii has become an expensive endeavour, reaching prices over €300 in the second-hand market, and making it impossible to buy the Wii at the first-hand market.

This heightened price, beyond the reach of many, has created a barrier between potential users and their beloved console. The Wii has long been a unique console, notable for its innovative and interactive controls that provided a completely different experience to traditional gaming consoles, like the PlayStation, fostering a family-friendly environment.

It's evident that the Wii still possesses a significant market share, as revealed by its impressive sales figures, where it outsold competing systems, such as the PS3 and Xbox 360 during its run, with over 101 million units sold worldwide.

The purpose of this petition, therefore, is to implore Nintendo to consider resuming the manufacturing of the Wii. This move will undoubtedly have a positive impact, for both, the company from a market perspective, and passionate Wii fans who yearn to relive the fun memories. We humbly request that this consideration be made for all long-standing Wii fans around the world.

Please, join us in our plea to Nintendo; sign our petition to bring the Wii back.

Thank you for considering.
