The Issue

Living in a neighborhood where my two small children can safely play and enjoy their outdoor time is essential to me. Our neighborhood playground where we spend several days a week, is unfortunately far from being the safe haven it should be. Not only do I yearn for my kids to play in a clean and secure environment, but many other families here would also greatly benefit from significant playground upgrades.

Currently, the playground’s condition is alarming. The swingset is riddled with rust, posing a potential hazard to our children. The jungle gym, another key attraction for the kids, is not only rusty and unkempt but also defaced with inappropriate graffiti. These dilapidated conditions, coupled with the prevalent litter, transform what should be a joyful setting into a concerning and unwelcoming space.

Furthermore, accessibility to the playground from the Saxony side of our neighborhood is inadequate, especially for parents pushing strollers. This lack of a proper path is a significant hindrance, restricting easy access for many families and preventing them from enjoying the facility to its fullest.

This petition serves to urgently request the revitalization of our neighborhood playground. By allocating resources to replace rusty equipment, clean the environment, remove graffiti, and establish a new accessible path from Saxony, we can create a park that is not only safe but also inviting for all families. This upgrade will enhance the quality of life for many and foster a vibrant community atmosphere.

We urgently need the local authorities and community leaders to prioritize this initiative. By doing so, they will ensure our neighborhood playground becomes a cherished space where our children can play freely and safely. Please sign this petition to support the transformation of our playground into a clean, safe, and accessible oasis for all families in our neighborhood.
