I have been playing at Havins Softball Complex in Austin, TX for over a decade. The friendships and memories I've made here are invaluable to me, and will be cherished for the remainder of my days. However, over time, it has become evident that our beloved complex needs attention and improvement.

Havins Softball Complex has served as a hub for community interaction and physical activity. It is not just a sports facility; it is a place where people from all walks of life come together to enjoy the game of softball. Yet, despite its significance to us locals, the complex has seen better days.

The facilities need upgrading to ensure safety and comfort for all players and spectators alike. We also believe that improving these facilities can attract more people to participate in softball games or tournaments hosted at Havins - thus promoting an active lifestyle within our community.

According to data from Trust For Public Land (2017), access to quality parks can lead to increased physical activity among residents - which in turn contributes positively towards public health outcomes. By revitalizing Havins Softball Complex we can contribute towards this goal while preserving an important part of our local culture.

We urge city officials in Austin, TX to invest resources into making Havins Softball Complex great again – not just for those who currently use it but also future generations who deserve access to quality recreational facilities where they too can create lasting memories like mine.
