Revitalise the Northwick Park Sports Pavilion to create a hub for community integration
The Issue
Who's affected?
1,000 people can pass through or visit the park on a busy Saturday. None of those people have anywhere to change, use a toilet or sit and chat together.
What's at stake?
The risk is that if we fail to act we could lose the pavilion forever.
Why is now the time to act?
If not now, when? If not you, who?
Please sign our petition to show your support.
Update - 9th Sept - less than one week in and we've got 53 signatures. That's great but we need more so please share this as widely as you can. We can only do this with the full support of the local community. We need your help to make this happen - we won't get anything done sitting at home moaning about the government - let's take action ourselves and make a real change to benefit everyone.
Once we have 2,000 signatures, I will be submitting a proposal to Brent Council to allow us to lease the building and provide changing rooms, spaces for various activities for all age groups and a café with toilets, including disabled and baby changing facilities. Let's bring the pavilion back to life and create a vibrant community hub together.
I've already emailed Barry Gardiner and Dawn Butler to request a meeting and I'm awaiting their response. They'll want to know what level of local support we have though, so keep sharing the link please.
We're a not-for-profit social enterprise. That means we don't have shareholders and don't pay dividends to anyone. All of our profits will be reinvested back into this project and supporting other good causes in the local community.
