Revise NEET UG 2026 Qualifying Marks – Give Deserving Students a Fair Opportunity
We, the undersigned students, parents, teachers, and concerned citizens, respectfully request the National Testing Agency (NTA), the National Medical Commission (NMC), and the Ministry of Education to reconsider the NEET UG 2026 qualifying marks.

This year, the qualifying marks have increased to:

UR / EWS: 213 Marks
OBC / SC / ST: 177 Marks
This is a significant increase compared to previous years and has left thousands of deserving students in shock. Many students who worked hard throughout the year are now unable to participate in counselling despite scoring marks that would have qualified in earlier years.

Our Request
We humbly request the authorities to review and revise the qualifying marks approximately as follows:

UR / EWS: 140–150 Marks
OBC / SC / ST: 110–120 Marks
This revision would allow many deserving students to become eligible for counselling while maintaining the integrity of the admission process.

Why This Revision Is Important
The current qualifying marks are much higher than in previous years.
Thousands of students have lost eligibility despite sincere preparation.
Lowering the qualifying marks would provide equal opportunity to more candidates, especially those aspiring for AYUSH and other NEET-based courses.
A review of the qualifying marks would help reduce unnecessary stress and provide relief to deserving aspirants without compromising the counselling process.
Our Appeal
We are not requesting unfair admissions or relaxation of merit. We are only requesting a fair review of the qualifying marks so that eligible students are not deprived of the opportunity to participate in counselling.

We respectfully urge the concerned authorities to examine the situation and take an appropriate decision in the interest of lakhs of NEET aspirants.
