The following petitioners draw the attention of the Council to have a clear strategy to upgrade Hogans Rd around Hogans Corner Shopping Centre to improve safety for the community and improve traffic flow.

Traffic accidents and injuries impact on our community members with significant impacts on our family units when serious injury and death occur on our local roads.

This area has increased traffic conditions since the Shopping Centre was opened in 1997, over 25 years ago, and needs urgent attention to reduce the incidence of traffic accidents and congestion, including the coming in and out of various entranceways.

Traffic data indicates that almost 10,000-15,000 cars use this area daily

Crash data indicates that in the past 10 years there have been 1 fatality, 4 serious injuries and 17 minor injuries in the connecting roads.

Therefore, the following petitioners hereby request that a scope of works be conducted of Hogans Rd including entering into Hogans Corner shopping centre. The result of this should be considered favourably in the upcoming Wyndham City Budget.
