Review Hungary’s Commitment to NATO Unity and Democratic Values

Review Hungary’s Commitment to NATO Unity and Democratic Values

To NATO member states and international policymakers,
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) was founded on the principles of unity, collective defense, and shared democratic values. For more than seventy years, this alliance has been one of the most important pillars of global security and stability.
Today, the strength of NATO depends not only on military power but also on the trust and cooperation between its member states. When disagreements and political tensions begin to undermine that unity, the credibility and effectiveness of the alliance can be weakened.
Many citizens across the world believe that NATO must remain firmly committed to its founding values — democracy, cooperation, and solidarity among its members.
For this reason, we call on NATO leadership and member governments to carefully review Hungary’s current role and commitments within the alliance and ensure that all members continue to uphold the principles that make NATO strong.
NATO’s strength comes from unity.
Transparency, accountability, and shared values must always remain at the heart of the alliance.
A strong alliance requires strong commitment
