A lot of people regularly park at The Hoe in Plymouth to swim and enjoy the local cafes afterward. The recent increase in parking charges has made this enjoyable day out too expensive, not only affecting the locals but also deterring tourists from visiting the area. This change is not favorable for our community and could have significant negative implications on our local businesses and tourism.

Just one month ago, the parking charges were pay for 1 hour at 8 am or before and stay until 10 ,which was a  reasonable rate that encouraged both residents and visitors to make use of the facilities and contribute economically by visiting the surrounding establishments. The sudden removal of this and increase in parking fees will lead people to look for less expensive alternatives, thus negatively impacting our vibrant community.

The Hoe has always been a welcoming spot, known for  ,magnificent  views ,the lido,lovely  cafes ,restaurants  and accessibility, allowing everyone to take part in recreational activities and support local commerce. By reverting the parking charges to their previous rates, we can ensure The Hoe remains an inviting and bustling location for all.
