Revamp Kids and Preschool TV for a More Engaging Experience
The Issue
As someone who grew up many years ago, I have fond memories of watching enjoyable and educational programming specifically designed for kids and preschoolers. However, in recent times, it is disheartening to witness the decline in the quality of content offered to our young ones. It is time we take a stand and demand a change that will make kids and preschool TV more enjoyable and entertaining while still being educational.
Personal Story:
I vividly recall spending countless hours engrossed in captivating shows that not only entertained me but also taught valuable life lessons. These programs sparked my curiosity, encouraged creativity, and fostered a love for learning at an early age. Unfortunately, the current landscape of children's television has left much to be desired.
With the closure of more and more Kids TV Channels, it seems that we really need to work our hardest to make programming alot better.
It's disheartening to see that subpar shows such as Baby Shark, Cocomelon, Bluey, Ms. Rachel, Blippi, Little Baby Bum, Morphle, Gabby's Dollhouse, PAW Patrol, Masha and the Bear, and many others are receiving more attention than they truly warrant. Despite their immense popularity, none of these shows are without flaws. Meanwhile, we have exceptional programs like Kit and Kate, Paprika, Tish Tash, Beadies, Emmy and GooRoo, Ada Twist Scientist, Starbeam, Nella the Princess Knight, Abby Hatcher, Santiago of the Seas, Bea's Block, The Creature Cases, and many more that boast significantly higher production quality and are crafted to be genuinely good. Yet, these superior shows are nearly eclipsed by the inferior ones. It's time for us to take action and change this narrative. Furthermore, Dreamworks has recently revealed plans for a Cocomelon movie, which should be scrapped and replaced with something of better quality.
As well as Preschool programming, shows for teenagers need a bit of improving as well.
Please sign this campaign to help Kids and Preschool TV rise again.
