Revamp Homecoming Week Dress-Up Days for Increased Participation and Enjoyment

Revamp Homecoming Week Dress-Up Days for Increased Participation and Enjoyment
The Issue
Homecoming is traditionally a time for fun, camaraderie, and showcasing school spirit. For many of us in Alexandria, LA, including students, teachers, and administrators, Homecoming Week is much more than just a school activity. It's a heartfelt tradition that will be remembered for a lifetime. Lately, however, the dress-up days during Homecoming Week have failed to live up to the spirit of fun and enjoyment they are meant to inspire. We believe this calls for an immediate change.
It's been observed that activities students find enjoyable lead to greater participation, increased morale, and stronger community building. Students' interests provide benefits like improved self-esteem, lower drop-out rates, and even better academic outcomes. To replicate such positive results, we propose that Homecoming Week dress-up days should embrace themes that are more engaging and entertaining for everyone involved.
For an awesome Homecoming Week experience, it's a must that students, teachers, and administrators feel enthused and motivated to participate. The selection of dress-up themes should stem from a popular vote or a discussion around fair ideas, thereby giving everyone a chance to contribute. We firmly believe that by implementing these changes, we can foster a stronger sense of engagement, inclusivity, and boost the overall morale of those who play such a significant role in our Homecoming Week festivities.
By signing this petition, we're not just advocating for change, but expressing our love for our homecoming traditions, our school, and our community. Let's embrace the opportunity to make Homecoming Week even better. Please sign this petition and join us in advocating for a revamping of Homecoming Week dress-up days.
