I am a mother who loves her children dearly. They are the first thought that comes to my mind in the morning and the last thought before I go to sleep. I am stable and healthy, and I firmly believe that my children deserve to be with their biological mother, their loving caregiver. Despite the struggles I face, my love and commitment towards my children never wavered.

Across the United States, there are approximately 400,000 children in foster care on any given day, according to a 2017 report by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and many would fare better with their biological families if circumstances permit (source: U.S. Department of Health & Human Services).

While a 2017 study by the American Psychological Association talks about the resilience of children and their ability to adapt to changing situations, it also advocates for nurturing bonds with parents and biological families as a vital part of emotional health (source: American Psychological Association).
