Dear South Africa,

WARDIYA SMITH'S family in Cape Town, Mitchell's Plain, is in a state of despair because of a poor decision by the Social Development department. WARDIYA SMITH's children were abruptly separated from their loving mother due to the actions of Social Worker LIVERE Maphonga and Magistrate S. Martinus from the Mitchell's Plain Magistrate Children's Court. This decision lacked insight and compassion, and the results have been heart-wrenching.

WARDIYA's two young boys were taken by force and placed with the Hanief Jacobs family. This family took them not out of concern for the children's welfare, but seemingly because of personal animosity towards the boys' father. This absurd motive has torn our family apart and threatens to have catastrophic consequences on the children's well-being.

Children need their mothers. WARDIYA is a devoted and caring mother who has always put her children first. There was no legitimate reason for this hasty separation. The boys are deeply missing their mother's love and care, which they need to grow and thrive.

We request the Social Development department of South Africa to urgently reassess this decision and bring WARDIYA's boys back to her. This action not only heals a family but also sets a precedent for the rights of biological parents to be respected in our legal system.
