For decades Rais Mahmoud and his workers have been restoring the statues of Thoutmoside royal family in Luxor Temple for decades.

It's very hard and meticulous work. And I have helped over the years and materials. One of the funniest incidents was bringing a 35kg bag of hoisting cables for their mobile crane. At customs I just said "It's for the Rais in Karnak" and was waved through.

He has found and restored the base of the limestone seated statue of Queen Ahmose-Merytamun.

The Upper part is in the British Museum.

Shouldn't they be reunited?

This is a complicated issue, but surely something can be done. Casts can be kept, or sent.
