The skeuomorphic animation was an animation that made iBooks feel like a more natural book. It was in the iOS 16 update that it got removed and that made many people disappointed as we lost appetite for reading books.

iBooks now, feels like a PDF reader, not a book! And we come to iBooks not because we want to read a PDF, but because we want to read a book.

We want to be able to chose between the skeuomorphic animation and a flat design.
