Return Reality Check TV to YouTube !
The Issue
Reality Check TV viewers, friends and fans - we are under siege by Google/YouTube. They have decided - wrongly and poorly - to delete our Reality Check TV Channel from the YouTube platform. Their reasoning is opaque, arbitrary, and unwarranted. RCTV has diligently attempted to comply with every rule and regulation. YouTube’s community standards and their barometers of enforcement are often difficult to comprehend and are selectively enforced.
Reality Check TV has been uploading a ton of archival material in the past several weeks and YouTube's so-called "safeguards" that are largely automated have been triggered, falsely giving the impression that RCTV has content that is graphic or breaks the Youtube Community Standards.
YouTube's corporate overlords impose standards that are arbitrarily enforced by non-human ‘bots’ that fail to understand or comprehend context and nuance. Compliant content can still be flagged and that results in suspension, or worse, a total shutdown.
These automated decisions are also extremely difficult to undo. The appeals process is riddled with inconsistencies and almost no "due process”.
We need our loyal fans and viewers - YOU - to make your voice heard in opposition! Your signatures and support tell YouTube and Google that Reality Check TV is a necessary community resource.
