Return Indian citizens who arrived during COVID lockdown and onwards

The Issue

The job market has been severely impacted because, during the COVID lockdown, Indian citizens were brought into Canada without proper screening. There is a surge in Indian applications in the job market, which affects opportunities for others. Many of these individuals are willing to work for wages lower than the minimum wage, such as $6 or $10 an hour. This situation allows Indian businesses to prioritize these workers due to their shared community ties, further depriving other qualified individuals of job opportunities.

The influx was significant during the lockdown years, orchestrated by the government's policies, possibly to serve as vote banks for the Trudeau administration. Such actions have led to the destabilization of the fair job market that many depend on for their livelihoods. It is unfair, unethical, and unsustainable to allow such practices to continue unchecked, where a specific community gets preferential treatment over other hardworking individuals and legal wage standards are undermined.

We also know that majority of Indian citizens apply for an asylum, seeking to stay in Canada in one or many ways, even when their student application require them to state why they should return to their country. This seems a major contrast in their documentation and their intention. Their intention is never to leave, therefore they arrived in Canada on a pretense.

Canada has built its reputation on fairness and equal opportunity. Allowing unchecked immigration without due diligence subverts these very principles. By addressing this issue, we can restore a fair, competitive job market for everyone, ensuring that employment is based on skill and eligibility rather than community and undercut wages.

To add on, since 2020, many Indian newcomers to Canada have arrived without sufficient English or French language skills, making integration into Canadian society difficult. Successful immigration depends on language proficiency, cultural adaptation, and mutual respect. Indians who are unwilling to learn our official languages or adapt to Canadian values risk creating division rather than unity. Immigration policies should ensure that all new residents are prepared to integrate and contribute positively to Canada’s social fabric

A simple statement, “If you cannot be a Canadian, even after receiving your Canadian citizenship, you should go back to where you belong and that is India. You have no right to disrespect our country of Canada.”

Canada was supposed to bring on International talents, yet our country suffers from downward spiral in terms of economy, hooliganism in societies, unlawful driving and unlawful activities surge in streets.

The government must take immediate action to return Indian citizens who came during the COVID lockdown and onwards, basically from 2020 to present. This will ensure fair opportunities are reinstated in the job market for all residents in Canada and maintain the country's integrity in staying true to its values of fairness and equity.

We have also noticed very clearly, for the sake of votes, this government instead of correcting the wrongs of their past, instead of directing the Indian communites to Canadian values and teach them how to live as Canadian, they have gone to appease these communities as they know they are a bigger community. Indian communities are a rising community in any city, the sheer numbers speaks for itself. We are in a risk of losing our Canadian values.

Sign this petition to urge the government to take action and address the imbalance that has hurt many Canadians' job prospects.
