The Department of Government Efficiency purports to be digging through government programs and organizations to root out sources of waste and fraudulent spending. That's all well and good assuming that is indeed taking place. However, the money that funds these programs was granted by the American taxpayers to fund organizations and initiatives as dictated by Congress. If that money is no longer required for those purposes, then it seems only right that said money be returned.
