Resurface tennis courts at Teralba Tennis Centre

Resurface tennis courts at Teralba Tennis Centre
The issue
West Lakes Community Tennis Incorporated is dedicated to nurturing inclusive participation in tennis for individuals of all ages and abilities. After being closed for several years, the club was re-established three years ago with the ardent mission to rekindle community interest and enhance participation in tennis. Our driving force is to provide affordable and accessible opportunities that foster health, social connection, and lifelong learning with the ultimate goal of revitalizing Teralba Tennis Centre.
Currently, the tennis courts at Teralba have reached the end of their serviceable life and are in desperate need to be resurfaced. To continue thriving as a community hub, it is essential to upgrade these courts to keep them usable and attractive to tennis enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
We propose resurfacing the existing courts with high-quality material in Australian Open true blue. This will offer excellent playability, safety, and accessibility, making it suitable for players of all skill levels. This will also include minor surface repairs to improve drainage and ensure the maintenance of the courts over time, along while new centre strap anchors. These court upgrades will significantly enhance the overall playing experience.
With the support from Tennis NSW this initiative is not just about resurfacing the courts; it is about revitalising a crucial part of our growing community's social and recreational life. Tennis provides a platform for physical health, mental well-being, and social interaction. By upgrading our courts, we can foster an environment that promotes more active lifestyles and social connection within Teralba and surrounding suburbs.
