On top of wildlife dying, dogs getting lost, pets becoming terrified, infants trying to sleep, children suffering PTSD from school shootings, veterans suffering PTSD due to war, accidental house fires, bodily injury, and just general neighborhood disruption, fireworks should be restricted to professional organizations only and limited to only one or two days in the year in Monroe, Michigan.

As a society, we should not disregard the stress and danger fireworks pose to some of our most vulnerable. It is absurd that anyone is allowed to possess and discharge huge fireworks in neighborhoods. It is irresponsible and selfish.

There are safer, silent alternatives!!
