Growing up in St. Cloud, one of the most distinct and beautiful scenes seared in our memories is the cross illuminated atop the city's water tower, a silent sentinel watching over us. The presence of this cross is much more than an architectural ornament - it represents our town's longstanding traditions and community identity.This cross also served as a guidepost to pilots and fishermen.

However, in a disheartening turn of events, the cross has been removed from its rightful place. This action has struck a chord with numerous residents, who feel as though an essential part of their identity has vanished.

Throughout history, St. Cloud has been a space where tradition and community identity are revered. The water tower's cross, a significant landmark in its own right, provides a sense of continuity and connection to our town's past. Its removal not only disrupts the familiar skyline we know and love but also disconnects us from the history and traditions that it represents.
