Restore The Ark – Fresno’s Iconic Vert Ramp In Need Of Restoration.

Restore The Ark – Fresno’s Iconic Vert Ramp In Need Of Restoration.
The Issue
The Ark at 1707 W Jensen Ave once stood as a cornerstone of Fresno’s skate culture — a place where skaters learned, connected, and created. It inspired generations and gave local youth a safe, creative outlet. Today, the ramp still stands, but time and weather are starting to take their toll. It needs some minor repairs to come back to life — replacement panels, new stairs, and fresh Skatelite surfacing. We cannot let it get beyond repair.
We’re calling on the City of Fresno to approve and support the restoration of The Ark. With community backing and help from local builders we can bring this icon back to its full glory.
Why This Matters:
Reviving The Ark isn’t just about rebuilding a ramp — it’s about reigniting a culture. Skateboarding has always been about creativity, resilience, and community. The Ark gave Fresno skaters a home. Restoring it means giving today’s youth a safe, positive, and inspiring place to belong.
