The Meta owned social media accounts for Susan M Block, founder of The Block Institute for Sexual Arts and Sciences, were deleted without her consent in May of 2023. Dr. Block had over 10,000 followers and is a critical leader and advocate in the realms of First Amendment rights, women's rights, sexual freedom, LGBTQIA+ rights, and sex education.

Dr. Block's social media platforms are essential touchpoints for multiple marginalized communities. Meta erased these accounts without notice or explanation. This action reflects a terrifying level of corporate control within platforms that have become essential for market visibility for creative people in all disciplines.
