Restore public access to Blue Lagoon, Bluestone

The Issue

Following outrage from the local community, The Pembrokeshire Herald is campaigning to restore access for locals to use the Blue Lagoon Water Park.

The previous administration at Pembrokeshire County Council invested two loans into Bluestone, totalling almost £1.9m.

The Council's money was SAFE. The loan agreement also had written into it a clause that the residents of Pembrokeshire could access the Blue Lagoon water park all year around.

However, in a secret meeting in 2009, the then-Cabinet, including Jamie Adams and John "Cwmbetws" Davies, traded away the Council's security for worthless, non-voting shares.

THEIR decision signed away residents' rights to use the Blue Lagoon Water Park.

After that, any access to the Blue Lagoon came only with Bluestone's permission.

When the company extended the site, it withdrew the permission.

At the current rate, the Council will wait 340 years to get OUR money back.

WE CALL on Bluestone to work with the Council and RESTORE the Pembrokeshire public's right to access the Blue Lagoon, which OUR money built.
