Restore Pooley Park Mountain Bike Club's Trail Building Permission at Pooley Country Park

Restore Pooley Park Mountain Bike Club's Trail Building Permission at Pooley Country Park

The Issue

We have always seen Pooley Country Park as a community treasure—a safe, engaging environment that allowed locals, varying from children as young as six to elders past their 70s, to experience the thrill of mountain biking. Our park was home to the only local trails in the area, passionately maintained by Pooley Park Mountain Bike Club. However, following a management change at Warwickshire County Council, the club's trail building was halted.

We spent over six years building these cherished trails and Skills Area. They were more than just paths enclosed by trees; they were testimonies to the unity of our community, the embodiment of our unified passion for the outdoors, and a tribute to local cyclists' dedication. The abrupt termination of our agreement hasn't just curtailed the club's operations but has gravely impacted the community spirit.

This decision has also left our trails without the essential maintenance they require to continue serving as an enjoyable biking environment for the locals. The once-popular trails that kept the community physically active and socially vibrant now lay idle, in desperate need of attention.

We seek to appeal to Warwickshire County Council to reconsider and reinstate our agreement to revive trail building at Pooley Country Park. By doing so, we can ensure that our community, once again, becomes a part of the vibrant mountain biking trails it cherishes. Please show your support for Pooley Park Mountain Bike Club's quest in restoring its rights, uplifting our community, and rekindling our shared passion for mountain biking by signing this petition.
