Thank you to everyone who signed the petition showing support to return metal detecting to New Orleans City Park!

As of Sunday morning, we have 85 signatures.  A big thank you also goes out to those of you living outside of Louisiana (20 people representing 23% of our signatures) who support us.  Although this is happening in New Orleans, it's important for everyone to stand up to what has happened because it can set a precedent for it to happen in other parts of the country!

We need to reach 100 signatures in order for Change.org to make Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Billing Nungesser aware of this petition.  We've attempted to contact his office for help to discuss this matter.  So far, we haven't received a response from anyone why this ban suddenly happened.

Please continue to reach out to your network of detectorists and friends and ask them to support our petition.  Each signature will help us.
